A busy week for Wainwright Rocks!

20th December 2017

Wainwright Rocks at Creative Arts festivalLast week was definitely a busy one for our Wainwright Rocks choir, beginning with them taking part in the Diverse Academies' Creative Arts Festival at Kelham Hall on Thursday.

Our pupils rocked the Kelham Hall stage performing a number of songs in front of a packed audience made up from pupils at other academies within DALP who were also taking part and members of the public.

Every performance was brilliant, and Wainwright Rocks were a joy to watch; the staff who accompanied them received a number of compliments about how professional our pupils are when they perform, together with how polite and well behaved they were whilst other acts were on stage. All of the the children really enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to the next Diverse Academies event in the summer.

Then on Friday, Wainwright Rocks visited Westfield Residential Home in Mansfield to help spread some Christmas cheer performing a variety of Christmas songs as well as a few of their favourites for the residents and their families.

A great time was had by all and we are already talking to staff at Westfield about our next visit.

Well done to everyone – we’re very proud of you!
