Healthy eating workshop for reception class

31st January 2018

Warburtons workshop for reception pupilsChildren in our reception class enjoyed a visit from Warburtons last week. The session was about learning how bread is made using lots of photos and visual guides, together with talking about the story of how the Warburtons bakery began, and how important healthy eating is for all of us.

The class was taught about why we use aprons and hair nets when preparing food, and the children then followed instructions about how to assemble a healthy bagel, with one half being savoury and the other half sweet.

After an informative and interactive session, the children were each given a pack of bread thins to take home. An interesting and fun morning of learning had by all! A big thank you to Warburtons.
