At Wainwright Primary Academy, we all want our children to behave well. They need to be clear about how to behave well, and be continuously and consistently encouraged to behave well. Good behaviour will encourage and support friendship, learning and self confidence.

Our ‘Wainwright Golden Rules’ are:

  • Be kind, friendly and polite
  • Keep hands and feet to yourself
  • Listen to people
  • Look after our academy and everything in it
  • Work hard and sensibly

To encourage good behaviour all staff will:

  • set clear expectations
  • notice and praise positive behaviour
  • give out chance cards
  • encourage each child to earn 20 minutes of golden time every week
